reputational attacks affect journalists.

Canadian Association of Journalists regards threatening journalists as "a threat to freedom itself." We have to take measures to safeguard our staff and our volunteers, which includes making referrals to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police if correspondence (in any media of communication) indicates their safety is at risk.
